Diljot S Sachdeva, Psy.D.
Diljot Singh Sachdeva, Psy.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who completed his doctoral education in clinical psychology at Marywood University. He most recently worked as a Multicultural Specialist in the University Health and Counseling Services at Case Western University.
Dr. Sachdeva has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years and has a diverse training background and work experience. His research and clinical interest have been in diversity and inclusion and exploring an individual’s unique relationship to their race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, and other intersecting identities. In therapy, Dr. Sachdeva uses an approach based on openness and sincerity and aims to provide a comfortable and collaborative environment for his clients.
Dr. Sachdeva's interests include multicultural counseling, the use of non-traditional counseling/assessment methods, retention of minority clients, self-disclosure in therapy, effects of racial, social, physical, and economic privilege in therapy, multicultural sensitivity and responsiveness, client mistrust of therapists, self-cultural biases, acculturation adaption and use of sociopolitical history in therapy.
Dr. Sachdeva is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi, and English.
