Dr. Powell earned her Psy.D. degree in Clinical Psychology from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. She completed her doctoral internship with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. She received her M.A.Ed. degree in Community Counseling from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. Dr. Powell has held administrative and clinical positions. She is experienced in working with pre-teen through geriatric populations. Her areas of clinical specialty include intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, anxiety, depression, grief, posttraumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, substance abuse and codependency. Dr. Powell is also experienced in intelligence and personality testing.
