Jeremy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a vast array of clinical experience. In addition to being a Veteran, he has a lot of experience working with Veterans and their family members. Jeremy has expertise and training treating anxiety and stress disorders, including PTSD, as well as depression, insomnia, mood disorders, issues related to chronic health concerns, and substance abuse. He has advanced training in the area of trauma and PTSD and holds a certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Jeremy also has a keen interest for treating those with chronic illnesses, particularly cancer. He also holds both the Co-Occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor credentials through the Pennsylvania Certification Board. Jeremy is credentialed through the Department of Transportation as a Substance Abuse Professional. This allows him to do return to work evaluations for employees that fall under DOT Substance Use Regulations.
Jeremy utilizes a blend of traditional psychotherapy, cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, and other treatments to help his clients reach their goals. Jeremy believes in finding the treatment method that works best for the client through a collaborative process with the individual or couple. The client is the expert of his or her world, and that expertise is a great asset to therapy. Numerous studies have cited one of the most important aspects of successful psychotherapy as the development of the therapeutic relationship. Quickly developing a trusting relationship in a relaxing atmosphere is what Jeremy believes is his best asset as a therapist. During his free time, Jeremy can be found mountain biking in our great local forests, practicing traditional woodworking, or spending time with his family.
